Pillars-of-Islam

Let’s Start With Islam

Most 5 Pillars of Islam:

Islam has five basic pillars, the Shahada, Salat, Zakat, Sawm, and Hajj.

Shahada

The Shahada is a declaration of faith and belief that Allah is the one and only God. Saying the Shahada means you accept yourself as a Muslim, and from now on forward, you will try to comply with the rules of this religion to the greatest possible extent. The Shahada literally translates to There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.’

Salat

Salat means prayer. Prayer is essentially a way of communicating with God; it is a way of bowing down to Him as an expression of gratitude for His blessings. The way Muslims see prayer is that it keeps you in touch with God. Though the fact remains that God is within you, prayers are a physical way of staying connected and being grateful for what He has given us.

Zakat takes out money from your earnings and gives it to the needy to encourage caring for others and keep the wealth flowing within the society.

Sawm refers to fasting. Muslims fast for an entire month in Ramadan. This teaches them patience, humility, and perseverance.

Hajj

Hajj is a pilgrimage to Mecca that takes place in the last month of the Muslim Calendar. Given their circumstances, Muslims are advised to complete this act of worship at least once in their lifetime.

Now, of course, different schools of thought will have different opinions. And since religion is extremely personal and based on your connection with God, eventually. The way you practice your religion may be different from how others practice it.

The facts have been laid out, but at the end of the day, the concept is that the connection between you and Allah is only between you and Allah. The essence of your relationship with God is that this is the only relationship in your life where you will not be put down, demoralized, or abandoned.

Islam Book of Allah:

The Book of Allah, The Qur’an says: “We have sent down the Book to you which manifests the truth about all things and as guidance and mercy and good news for Muslims.” (Qur’an, 16:89)

Muslims believe Allah’s promise is the ultimate truth. Though there are a set of rules to follow, Allah has also promoted peace and love; he has vowed to send ease after every hardship. Allah says in his book, The Qur’an: “So, surely with hardship comes ease” (Quran 94:5). Allah says to place firm trust in Him and His plans. Muslims are advised to trust Him with the trials He places in their life. For those trials are fundamentally His ways of seeing how much His people really trust Him.
